Denial of care
My 87 year old Father has moved to Burton and was registered in early August. He is deaf, has low mobility. He is in frequent pain, has sleep issues, has massively lost weight and needs control for memory issues, a strange cough and toilet issues. He was a diabetic, with High Blood pressure and had a stroke and was on multiple medications. He no longer knows what he should be taking and takes nothing. The family who live abroad are very concerned for his well being. The practice refuses to give him an appointment, insisting a deaf person does a telephone appointment! or failing that an online consult, which is a fantasy. Locally my son has spent over a month and a half trying to ring (over 20 times), but is consistently not helped. Clearly different medical standards apply in the UK!
